In this course, we'll delve into crucial topics such as object permanence and its implications for domestic dogs. Through a comprehensive examination of evidence, we'll uncover the intricacies of conceptual learning in dogs and how it shapes their interactions with their environment. Moreover, we'll explore the nuances of reasoning in dogs, comparing and contrasting it with human reasoning processes. By dissecting their cognitive mechanisms, we'll gain insights into how dogs interpret space and time, offering a deeper understanding of their mental landscape. Join us on this captivating journey through canine cognition games, where we unravel the mysteries of the canine mind and gain a deeper appreciation for our furry companions. We’ll look at:- Recognition - Colour, space, shape Communication - Talking buttons Plus other exciting subjects We'll have lots of fun and hopefully some enlightening moments! Class Term : 6 weeks Duration : 1 hr per week plus homework Price : £120.00 The classes will be in-person and held inside at Peckleton Village Hall.
Cancellation Policy
GROUP CLASSES Cancellation with more than 2 week's notice to start date of class - 50% refund. If class place place can be filled, full refund. Cancellations with less than 2 weeks notice to start date of class - refund at trainer's discretion. Sessions are non-transferable, if you miss a class we will send you homework but we cannot guarantee a catch-up session. PRIVATE SESSIONS Cancellation with less than 48 hours notice - full fee payable or you may reschedule with a 50% additional charge FEES Fees must be paid in full a before the consultation/class commences. CANCELLATION All cancellations must be notified to, and acknowledged by, K9 Education Dog Training in order to receive a refund (should this be applicable). PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEO RECORDINGS Photographs and/or recordings may be taken by the Company during the Event for educational and publicity purposes. No other photographs and/or recordings may be taken without prior permission from the Office. DOGS Please do not bring dogs not registered for the Event to the Event without prior agreement. BITCH IN SEASON If your bitch comes into season immediately prior to or during a course, please notify K9 Education Dog Training. HEALTH & SAFETY If your pet is ill or suffers an injury immediately prior to or during the Event, please notify the Office. Do not bring your pet to the Event if s/he is ill or injured, or has been infected with, or has been in contact with another dog infected with, a contagious disease. If your pet is neutered immediately prior to or during the Event, please notify K9 Education Dog Training. Dog training is a physical activity and as such Handlers are reminded to train with due care and attention to their own safety and that of others. Handlers are responsible for the conduct of their dog at all times. Handlers and Delegates are reminded to adhere to the guidelines of K9 Education Dog Training and to refrain from the use of harsh handling, aversive techniques and equipment intended to punish e.g. choke chains, prong collars, pet correctors etc. Neither K9 Education nor any person acting on behalf of the Company accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to dogs, handlers, spectators or any other persons or property whatsoever.
